The Wireless Communication and Signal Processing (WCSP) Group at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) in Hsinchu, Taiwan, is seeking talented and motivated post-doctoral researchers to join our team. Our group is dedicated to interdisciplinary research of machine learning, privacy protection, and distributed optimization, with applications spanning the Internet of Things, wireless communication systems, and intelligent mobile edge networks. Now, several post-doctoral researcher positions are available in our group. We welcome candidates with a strong research background and experience in distributed optimization, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
Your role and goals as a post-doctoral researcher:
The successful candidate will be a member of the WCSP group, and work with the following tasks.
- Conduct research in machine learning, including developing new algorithms or techniques, applying machine learning to solve real-world problems, and publishing research findings in academic journals or conferences.
- Collaborate with other researchers and academics on machine learning projects, potentially as part of a larger research team or consortium.
- Mentor and train graduate students or junior researchers in machine learning techniques and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the field of machine learning, including new techniques and approaches, and incorporate this knowledge into research projects.
- Contribute to the development of machine learning resources, such as tutorials, course materials, or open-source codes.
- Participate in grant writing and funding proposals to secure resources for machine learning research.
- Engage in outreach and public engagement activities to increase awareness and understanding of machine learning research.

Requirements for postdoc applicants:
- A doctoral degree in relevant fields, such as computer science, mathematics, or electrical engineering.
- Strong research skills and experience in machine learning/federated learning, convex optimization and statistical signal processing, supported by publications in top IEEE journals or top machine learning conferences.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with programming languages such as Matlab, Python, or Julia.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing research needs.
