Welcometo the Liu Research Lab at the National Tsing Hua University, Department of Electrical Engineering and Institute of Photonics Technologies!

Our research group explores new schemes to engineer the physical properties of newly discovered two dimensional materials and their heterostructures. By exploiting these new properties, our aim is to configure atomic-scale electronic, photonic and mechanical devices, addressing current technical challenges.

Research Highlights

We create ultrabroadband, high-speed and high-quantum-efficiency photodetectors based on the van der Waals heterostructures. The work was published on ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces. We create van der Waals metalenses.
